Project: Private recording studio in Kavala, Greece

This studio was designed and manufactured in Kavala. This is a special application, since the recording room was built on a floating concrete base. The base was mounted on springs with a frequency (f0 <9 Hz), lifted from the ground 70mm, while the soundproofing shell was built on it (box-in-box).

The roof was suspended from springs and plugged on the soundproof shell for complete isolation of vibration.

Finally, all internal acoustic coatings were applied, with a high proportion of diffusive coatings and a sound absorbing ceiling.

The result is to achieve a weighted R’w = 78dB noise ratio between the studio and the bedrooms in the maisonette, while the reverberation time is set to RT = 0.5 sec.
